- THE FIRST 30 DAYS:
- Lot walk with client and builder to determine removal of trees, placement of house, etc.
- Plans reviewed and signed.
- 30-90 DAYS:
- Builder applies for building permit
- Survey of homesite to determine setbacks (front, sides, rear)
- Clear homesite and prepare for excavating foundation
- Excavate foundation
- Place footings
- Footing inspection by Town
- Form and place concrete foundation walls
- Backfill around foundation
- Prepare deck for framing house
- First floor walls
- Second floor deck and walls
- Roof system
- 90-120 DAYS:
- Rough plumbing is in place
- Inspection by Town
- Doors and windows installed
- Wind barrier prior to siding
- Siding
- Rough electric
- Inspection of electric (Board of Underwriters)
- Inspection of framing before insulation
- Insulation
- Town inspection of insulation
- Sheetrock
- Taping/spackle
- 120-150 DAYS:
- Paint
- Trim baseboards/windows/door frames
- Install rails/spindles
- Install hardwood floors/ceramic tile
- Kitchen/Bath cabinets set in place
- 150-180 DAYS:
- Final trim placed
- Carpet installation
- Final touchups
- Hardwood floors finished coat
- Preliminary walkthrough
- Landscaping
- Walkway and driveway
- Certificate of occupancy
- Bank inspection
- Final walkthrough
- Transfer of title
